About Envac in Australia
The company
Founded in 2012, Envac Australia designed the first city-sized AWCS in Australia. The system has been installed in the Maroochydore CBD “Smarty City” which is becoming The Sunshine Coast’s commercial hub. Envac Australia operates and maintains this 21st century system. Envac Australia will work with waste authorities and urban developers in Australia to implement waste solutions that improve quality of life and minimise carbon footprint.

Sustainability has become a pressing issue today. As a business, we are accountable for acting responsibly and minimising our negative impact on the environment. Envac is committed to meeting these expectations and requirements. The company is focused on preparing for upcoming EU regulations and updating its sustainability strategy. This report provides an overview of the key activities and achievements of Envac in 2023.
Our parent company
Envac AB, our parent company, was founded in 1953. The group head office is located in Stockholm, Sweden. Envac AB is a wholly owned subsidiary to Stena Adactum AB, a company in the Stena Sphere (Gothenburg, Sweden).

The Stena Sphere consists of the three parent companies, Stena AB, Stena Metall AB and Stena Sessan AB.
A total of 22,000 people are employed in the Stena Sphere. Total income for 2023 was SEK 96 billion. Profit before tax amounted to SEK 4.3 billion.
