Envac welcomes three distinguished leaders to its Board of Directors

Envac is delighted to announce the appointment of three highly respected professionals to its board of directors: Bengt Thorsson, Karoline Nyström, and Michael Gidlund. Bengt Thorsson: Extensive Leadership & Strategic Expertise
Bengt Thorsson brings with him a wealth of leadership experience gained through executive roles in prominent global organisations. He has an extensive background in business operations, strategic development, and international market expansion. Bengt has previously held key leadership roles at Scania and Dometic, where he served as SVP of Commercial Operations and President of EMEA. His global business acumen and forward-thinking leadership have been instrumental in shaping these organisations into industry leaders.
Currently serving as CEO of Permobil, a global leader in advanced medical technology, Bengt’s experience in leading diverse, large-scale operations will be a significant asset to Envac. His ability to scale businesses and manage complex international operations aligns with Envac’s vision of expanding its innovative waste management solutions to new global markets.
Karoline Nyström: Technology, Sustainability, and Smart Infrastructure
With over 25 years of international experience, Karoline Nyström is a respected leader in the fields of technology and sustainability. She has served in various leadership roles at Accenture, Telenor, Schneider Electric and Fortified Technologies, where she developed her expertise in energy efficiency, smart infrastructure, and integrating hardware and software solutions.
Karoline’s background aligns perfectly with Envac’s core values: sustainability and smart city solutions. Her deep understanding of how technology can drive efficiency and promote environmental sustainability will be critical in guiding the company’s development of smart, eco-friendly waste management systems. As cities worldwide increasingly adopt smart infrastructure to improve urban living, Karoline’s insights will be invaluable in keeping Envac at the forefront of this movement.
In addition to her experience as a CEO, Karoline also serves as a non-executive board member for several organisations, giving her a well-rounded perspective on corporate governance and strategy. Michael Gidlund: Strategy, AI, and Automation
Rounding out the new board additions is Michael Gidlund, a leader in business strategy and automation. Michael has led the strategy and M&A division at Piab, a fast-growing company in the industrial automation sector. He brings a wealth of experience in transforming businesses through the use of artificial intelligence, automation, and innovative strategies.
Previously, Michael held senior roles at Ericsson, where he served as COO and Vice President of the Global Division of Business Area Managed Services. His expertise in scaling operations and managing large-scale business transformations, particularly through integrating advanced technology like AI, will help guide Envac’s efforts to leverage automation and data-driven insights in waste management.
Michael’s unique combination of strategic vision and hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies will ensure Envac continues innovating and developing smart waste management systems.
