At Yantai, China, a parallel between Sweden’s Hammarby region and the Nordic lifestyle is built to encourage sustainable living. Inspired by Hammarby lake town in Stockholm, the Yantai eco-city introduces Nordic concepts and technical solutions to reduce the environmental impact of rapid urbanisation.
During the project, Envac implemented the latest generation control system supporting peak load management. The new control systems tuned operation has reduced energy consumption by up to 30%. Overall Envac’s automated system maximises the effect of batteries leading to up to 70% reduced power consumption during peak hours.

The Wilds at Barking Riverside is using the Envac vacuum waste collection system and houses the collection centre that will be one of the largest single vacuum waste systems in Europe on completion. The Wilds building won the 2022 RICS National Award in the United Kingdom for its outstanding achievement in providing a facility that directly benefits the local community.
Envac has added yet another environmental accolade to its growing global collection after being awarded the Korea Environmental Award for Environmental Waste Collection Management. The decision to honour the pneumatic waste collection system (PWCS) pioneers was made by a high-profile panel of experts from across the private and public sectors.
Envac’s Middle East operation has merged to become part of a new EMEA macro division, which will include the company’s activities in Europe and Africa. It employs 200 people and operates and maintains almost 100 facilities across the Middle East, Spain, Portugal, France and Italy.
